Our team is diverse, motivated and professional, aligning under our values of teamwork, integrity, quality, safety and sustainabilityJob DescriptionYour role of Project Manager at GPA Engineering is to manage a portfolio of projects across a range of process industries, including gas pipelines and compression, oil & gas, mining and minerals processing, hydrogen and biofuels. GPA delivers engineering solutions across a range of industries and engineering disciplines. You will be charged with providing managerial, technical and strategic oversight whilst working in a collaborative and supportive project delivery team environment. This leadership role will support, coach and guide our project team members to ensure we meet our client's expectations.This role would suit a self-driven Engineering Manager with suitable complex industrial experience, such as in the mining and minerals processing and/or oil and gas industries, who prefers a stable Monday to Friday role with work life balance. Your extensive Engineering/Project Management capabilities will complement the Project Delivery team.Working as part of the Project Delivery team some of your key tasks include:Lead the planning, management and strategic direction of small to large, complex, multidisciplinary and high-risk engineering projects to ensure successful delivery.Direct and coordinate the resolution of design anomalies, technical challenges and project issues, ensuring alignment with organisational objectives and client requirements.Establish and enforce conformity with project specifications, engineering standards and regulatory requirements across all project phases.Liaise with clients and stakeholders at a strategic level to provide progress updates, address risks, and ensure alignment with project deliverables and organizational goals.Oversee project progress through systematic monitoring and executive-level reporting to clients and internal stakeholders, ensuring accountability and transparency.Advise and provide strategic input on tendering processes, including evaluating technical feasibility, resource allocation and cost optimisation strategies.Manage and oversee contract administration for large-scale engineering projects, ensuring compliance with legal, financial and operational requirements.Lead site and client visits to provide high-level oversight, ensure project alignment and address critical operational or strategic issues.Desired Skills and ExperienceYour Employment History and AttributesIdeally, you will have:A Bachelor of Engineering, preferably specialising in Mining/Oil & Gas or a related field. Additional qualifications in Mechanical, Chemical, or Process Engineering and / or Project Management would be highly desirable.Registered as a Professional Engineer in Australia or willingness to obtain.Minimum of 5 years of industrial experience in industries such as Oil & Gas, Mining & Minerals, or Water Treatment.Solid design, operational and technical minerals processing or similar complex industrial experience.Familiarity with complex schedules, time constraints, resource allocations, risk and opportunities.Demonstrated ability as a logical thinker and pragmatic decision maker.Skilled in building relationships with internal and external clients.Excellent verbal and written communications skills.Proven ability to negotiate and influence.High attention to detail, planner and super organised.A positive mindset focused on solutions and customer service.What's in it for you?This vacancy is a permanent full-time role based in our offices in Perth.
