Queensland Corrective Services (Organisation site )Lockyer Valley Correction Centre; Custodial Operations; Statewide Operations; Gatton, Lockyer ValleyThe Visits Processing Officer is responsible for co-ordinating and processing personal and accredited visitor applications and attendance at the correctional centre.
*This position involves working shift work on a rotating roster that covers 6am to 6pm shifts across 7 days, including weekends and public holidays.
Appropriate remuneration under the relevant Award will apply.Undertake processing of visit bookings ensuring all visitors are approved.Input and maintain accurate computerised and hardcopy records of visitor details.Ensure confidentiality of all documentation handled and maintain a sure filing system.Relay information regarding visits procedure at time of booking.Confirm booking on arrival of visitors.Direct visitors as required.Manage own work-flow by negotiating and confirming work priorities for work completion in consideration of the needs of other officers.Answer queries from members of the general public and relatives and friends of prisoners.Provide information service relating to visit times, days, duration and frequency of visits.Maintain confidentiality when dealing with visitors.Receive monies and approved items of prisoner property from and to external parties.Liaise with intelligence, custodial and sentence management personnel in relation to individual prisoners as a component of the case and sentence management process.Applications to remain current for 12 months.Job Ad Reference: QLD/603717/24Closing Date: Tuesday, 26th November 2024Further informationWe are committed to building inclusive cultures in the Queensland public sector that respect and promote human rights humanrights and diversity e positions availableDocumentsBefore applying for this vacancy please ensure you read the documents below.603717-24-Role Profile (PDF, 431KB)603717-24-Final-Applicant-Information-Guide-QCS (PDF, 309KB)#J-18808-Ljbffr
