#DPIcareersWe are looking for a Regional Biosecurity Lead North to join our Biosecurity Queensland team to:Effectively engage with key regional stakeholders & act as a conduit between local governments, industry & the regional communities to identify biosecurity priorities within the region.Provide expert, strategic advice & support to the Minister, Director-General & Chief Biosecurity Officer & programs to enable Biosecurity Queensland to provide statewide leadership in Biosecurity.Job detailsPosition status: PermanentPosition type: Full-timeOccupational group: ManagementClassification: SOAs our Regional Biosecurity Lead North, you will be responsible for driving high-level strategic advice & engagement activities for Biosecurity Queensland.You will know you're achieving success in the role when you:Are dedicated to successfully & strategically engaging with local governments, industry and the regional communities to support Biosecurity initiatives.Effectively advocate for Biosecurity Queensland's interests, provide advice & counsel to the Minister, Director-General and Chief Biosecurity Officer, and programs on Biosecurity matters.Are actively contributing & leading a high-performing regionally dispersed team.Manage, lead & champion high-level Biosecurity initiatives throughout the relevant regions.Establish a stronger ongoing regional presence for Biosecurity Queensland through the establishment of regional hubs.Biosecurity Queensland plays a vital role in securing the state's agricultural prosperity and preserving and protecting the health of our environment and economy.
