The Role We are seeking an energetic and passionate qualified Greenkeeper to join the team in what is an exciting period for the Club, as we reopen our Championship course.
Reporting to the Course Superintendent, you will be involved in all aspects of turf maintenance required for the upkeep of the golf courses, lawn tennis courts, croquet and bowling greens.
The diversity in playing surfaces at the Club offers unique development opportunities for ambitious sports turf professionals.
This is a Full-Time position that requires predominantly weekday work but is flexible to work shifts on weekends.
Duties and Responsibilities Maintenance Assist with the operations and maintenance of both golf courses, lawn, tennis courts, croquet lawns and bowling greens.Assist with the maintenance, renovation and reconstruction of all turf and garden areas.Apply fertilisers and pesticides as directed and complete fertiliser/pesticide application records.Carry out hand held spraying and boom spraying of weeds as required.Carry out landscaping duties as required.Set up the golf course for daily play and tournaments/club events.Equipment Safely operate and maintain Turfcare equipment and operate other machinery or equipment requiring the holding of specialised licences upon being trained.Report defects or damages to the Workshop Manager immediately to ensure machinery is fixed in a timely manner.Essential Requirements: Minimum Certificate III in Sports Turf Management or equivalentPrevious experience operating golf course machineryHighly motivated with a strong work ethicExcellent communication skillsUnderstanding requirements relating to WH&S and Environmental management on a golf courseDesirable AQF3 Chemical spray certification or equivalentManual Driver's licenseWork with Us Ample opportunities for Learning & Development including 24/7 access to an extensive learning platform.Staff wellbeing program including free exercise classes for staff in our state-of-the-art fitness facilities, golf lessons, tennis clinics and access to our Employee Assistance Program.Daily staff meals.Uniforms provided plus uniform allowance.20% discount on purchases (e.g.
