We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to provide exceptional care and efficient services to achieve the best possible patient outcomes.
As a senior leader, you will work alongside a multi-disciplinary team, prioritising and coordinating care within the Orthopaedic Ward.Our VisionThe Orthopaedic Institute brings together over 30 orthopaedic surgeons, a dedicated nursing team, education and research.

Together, we strive to achieve remarkable results and provide improved patient outcomes.What We Offer YouA permanent Full-time position (38 hours per week, Monday to Friday)Competitive base salary per annum for Nurse Unit Manager, Grade 3 (in line with the MQ Health Nurses Enterprise Agreement)Grow your career with us and be part of a progressive, university-owned healthcare organisation where we fully support and encourage your professional development and ongoing education.About YouYour excellent communication skills are vital for motivating and supporting the nursing staff, as well as effectively managing the diverse needs and daily demands within the Orthopaedic Ward.Key Accountabilities include:Provide effective and efficient coordination of Clinical/Acute Care services for patients throughout the hospital across the continuum of careDevelop, implement, and evaluate a department operational plan in collaboration with your managerMaintain progressive and effective documentation in accordance with industrial standards and best practice.Use information technology effectively to monitor ongoing resource utilisation within the perioperative serviceEnsure the development and implementation of appropriate education programs in conjunction with the senior nursing and education teamActively participate in quality improvement and evidence-based research projects at ward level and within the wider hospital environmentHow to ApplyTo succeed with us in this role, you will demonstrate the following skills and experience.
