This role provides an exciting opportunity for an experienced leader to join the Hydrogen division in supporting the divisional needs, providing high-level advice and strategic support on major business and governance issues relating to the Department and whole of Government issues.As a Business Manager in the Office of the Assistant Under Treasurer, you'll lead a busy team supporting the divisional needs, providing high-level advice and strategic support on major business and governance issues. In this role, you'll be part of a diverse and talented team.Here's what we're looking for:Demonstrated experience supporting a busy executive office, with the ability to anticipate needs, problem solve and provide proactive support to your team, senior leadership and the broader team.Strong leadership and interpersonal abilities to inspire and coordinate a diverse team towards achieving departmental and divisional goals, and the agility to adapt to diverse and evolving demands.Proficiency in the use of government-specific tools and software for finance, administration, project management, and collaboration, ensuring the efficient operation of divisional activities.A good understanding of government policies, procedures, and ethical standards to ensure compliance in all aspects of business operations.Discretion and sensitivity in handling confidential and sensitive information, maintaining the privacy and security of executive communications.As part of this role, some duties will include:Manage the day-to-day operations of the Office of the Assistant Under Treasurer and the management of the division's business support team, ensuring effective and timely management of divisional responsibilities.Manage the preparation, review and finalisation of executive documents and coordinate submissions, documentation, proposals, and initiatives requiring total portfolio or divisional responses.Coordinate Senior Leadership Team meetings and support the provision of authoritative, professional, and timely advice to the Assistant Under Treasurer and Senior Leadership Team.Maintain and develop strong and effective relationships, work collaboratively, and negotiate extensively with senior management, divisional staff, and other areas of the department.Obtain relevant advice and maintain liaison with key areas of the department to ensure timely resolution of issues.Join our team and be part of our legacy.
