We have an opportunity for a new Training and Support Officer to join our team.
ABOUT US:
Knoxbrooke is a non-for-profit organisation providing a range of employment, education and support services designed to meet the specific needs of people with a disability.
Operating within the Outer Eastern and West Gippsland Regions of Melbourne, our services aim to enhance independence and maximise quality of life.
Knoxbrooke receives funding from the Federal Government with the balance of income generated from fees, business services revenue and fundraising.
THE OPPORTUNITY:
Our Training and Support Officers work with our Supported Employees who are employed at Knoxbrooke, in Victoria's largest social enterprise nursery.
This rewarding role is responsible for the development and delivery of employment and training plans for supported employees, ensuring their personal and employment goals are met, whilst also supporting the continuous improvement of Knoxbrooke's Social Enterprise operations.

Key responsibilities of the role will include:
Assist in the development and implementation of employee inductions Identify training needs and maintain training plans for our supported employees Build rapport with both employees and their support networks Provide a hands-on training approach to ensure supported employee's work skills are met and recorded Support, train and motivate supported employees in job specific tasks Our Training and Support Officers work 8 - 4.30 Monday to Thursday and finish the week with an early finish on a Friday (2.30pm)
This is a permanent full-time position paying a generous hourly rate, plus up to $18,500 annually in salary packaging accessible to increase your take home pay.
ABOUT YOU:
Already experienced providing employment support within the disability service sector, you will be a problem solver with excellent interpersonal skills.
You will have a training and assessment background and be dedicated to providing a person-centred approach at all times.
To be successful in this role, you will also be able to demonstrate:
Qualifications in disability and/or training (Cert IV in Disability preferred) Cert IV in Training & Assessment an advantage.
Working knowledge of the NDIS Minimum level 2 in First Aid (current or willing to undertake) Competent with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and ERP systems Please note requirements of this role will also include:
