We currently have a unique and rewarding full time opportunity at our head office based in Laverton North.
We are looking for an experienced, passionate and proactive Logistics Manager who will be accountable to the Supply chain Manager.
Responsible for a team of 15 employees in VIC & WA, you will be required to influence change in people and processes, lead by example and have a hands-on approach to making a difference.
You are passionate about developing and driving operational efficiencies to ensure supply chain objectives are met in this highly dynamic environment.
Responsibilities include: Management of transport functions across Australia and to NZ to ensure costs are maintained and service criteria achieved (DIFOT).Manage warehouse costs, including freight, labour and maintenance costs.Management warehouse staff: direction of daily activities, ensure effective staffing levels are maintained keeping overtime and use of casuals to a minimum.Manage process and people for goods received and accuracy of stock inc. Credit return function.Ensure the complete accuracy of the entire WMS (ie bin accuracy)Ensure cycle counting occurs on a weekly basisEnsure 5S+ and OMA are part of every day activitiesHigh level management of all inland transport activites toensure sevice levels are improved and costs are reduced.Management of all outsourced activities, contracts and relationships inc. 3PL providers in, Queensland.Ensure compliance with relevant OH&S legislation and maintain a safe work environment including housekeeping initiatives and traffic management.The ideal applicant will be an experienced Logistics / Warehouse Manager with sound knowledge of SAP WM systems gained from a manufacturing and / or DC environment.
