The Clinical Information Systems Support Unit (CISSU) is seeking a Principal Project Manager to develop and lead the implementation of and reporting against CISSU's priority operational projects and operational plans.
The successful candidate will promote and ensure the use of appropriate project management techniques, methodologies, and tools, including benefits realisation and risk and issue management, to ensure quality project outcomes are delivered.
Role responsibilities:
Identify project risks and controls.
Negotiate and implement controls and treatments as necessary and ensure appropriate escalation process is actioned where risks are likely to impact on the project.
Manage project resources, expenses, and capital costs against the project forecasts.
Initiate, influence and maintain relationships with and between key internal and external stakeholders and vendors, facilitate effective communication channels to promote the successful adoption of change within the business, and foster relationships through lessons learned, feedback mechanisms and management of expectations.
Prepare timely and accurate briefings, reports, submissions, presentations, and other documentation of a detailed nature related to project initiatives.
Oversee and manage the monitoring and reporting of project related trends and performance against project plans and schedules.
Actively engage key stakeholders to enable effective planning, governance and communication of CISSU activity and resources.
You will be assessed on your ability to demonstrate the following key capabilities, knowledge and experience:
Demonstrated leadership experience in a large scale, complex IM/ICT project environment, including planning, risk management, reporting, budgeting and project closure, and an ability to analyse, plan and manage specialised work packages.
High level knowledge and application of appropriate project management methodologies (preferably PRINCE2), and an ability to provide expert advice on the use of appropriate project management techniques, methodologies, and tools.
Proven stakeholder relationship management skills to support effective business change, including the ability to initiate relationships and influence key stakeholders and vendors.
Proven negotiation, consultation, facilitation, and effective written and oral communication skills for use in a complex political environment.
