Who are we?
Elecnor has been contracted to build EnergyConnect, a new 700km transmission line extending from Wagga Wagga NSW to the South Australian border.
This backbone infrastructure will connect customers with more renewable energy enabling a further 4950MW of generation capacity, save NSW customers $180 million a year and create 1,500 new construction jobs in regional NSW.
Construction of EnergyConnect is underway in various locations across the project area.
The Role
Elecnor presents a great opportunity for project professionals seeking to join our team as a Senior Electrical Engineer on a 14/7 roster.
This role will be based onsite at Dinawan NSW, and is a FIFO opportunity on a tier 1 project.
This role could be suitable for local candidates in the Wagga / Dinawan area, as well as those interested in FIFO opportunities within NSW S.A and Vic.
Interviews to be conducted from early January 2025.
Key responsibilities will include:?

Proficiency in Australian standards and capable of providing civil / structural design solutions if required, together with documentation to support the delivery of the project on time, and safely.
Value engineering and optimisation to achieve efficiencies in cost and program
Preparing calculations and analysis as requested by the lead engineer.
Liaison with the construction team to develop construction methodology and provide construction input into the design process
Working closely with the external Designers to ensure specification compliance and technical integrity of design
Reviewing of client specifications to ensure design quality assurance criteria is met.
Your Skills & Experience
Ideally you will have tertiary qualifications in Electrical Engineering and proven engineering design experience in a consulting or contracting environment.
You will also have:

Design experience on major infrastructure projects including both electrical and civil design interfaces
Knowledge of relevant Australian Codes and Standards and regulatory requirements
Strong coordination skills and an ability to effectively communicate between design and construction teams
A strong focus and commitment to safety in design principles
