Department Alfred Health Allied Health Services comprises a number of allied health disciplines that provide patient-centred care across all clinical programs that operate at Alfred Health.
Allied health clinicians provide patient-centred care that aims to optimise physical, psychosocial, communication, and cognitive functioning.
To ensure that the allied health workforce is fit for purpose, there is a robust governance structure that provides oversight of staff & student education, research, workforce innovation, and quality & safety.
Position Summary The Allied Health Director is responsible for: Developing and implementing a vision for the Allied Health workforce across Alfred Health that ensures allied health achieves its strategic, business, and quality objectives aligned to the goals, values, and service priorities of Alfred Health.
Supporting a progressive, flexible, and sustainable approach that enables the Allied Health workforce to be responsive to the changing needs of the healthcare environment.
Ensuring effective operational management is achieved through the delivery of the Allied Health leadership and accountability framework, including operational service delivery, financial management, professional standards of practice, human resources management, education, and academic initiatives.
Qualifications and Experience Required Clinical qualifications in an allied health discipline AHPRA Registration or eligibility for membership of the professional association in clinical discipline Postgraduate qualifications in health services management or related area Experience Demonstrated management and leadership experience across multiple Allied Health disciplines Clinical and management experience in acute and subacute services Demonstrated experience in resource management and financial budgeting Experience in the implementation of a quality improvement program at a large department or directorate level Experience in a multi-disciplinary model of service delivery Experience in policy and service development and implementation at a large department or directorate level Experience in leadership for education and research programs at a department or directorate level Staff Benefits Salary packaging and novated leasing are available Health and wellbeing incentives Easy access to public transport and staff car parking is available Applications close 11pm Sunday, 27th October 2024 For enquiries regarding this role, please contact Ged Williams (Chief Nursing Officer) at Alfred Health is an equal opportunity employer and is committed to attracting and retaining a diverse workforce that reflects the community we serve.
