About the role We're seeking a Senior Financial Analyst on a 12 month contract to be responsible for reporting and forecasting financial performance through the planning cycle to the Executive teams. It is with this information we enable the business to deliver leading results.
You'll join an innovative Finance team, who works collaboratively to provide broad ranging financial and analytical support to drive excellent performance and support for our Regional, ROAD (Road Experience, Operations, Assets and Development) or Corporate Business Units.
As our Senior Financial Analyst on a 12 month contract, you'll contribute to lasting and positive changes that shape the future of our cities and communities. It's meaningful, challenging and exciting work.
Day-to-day, you will: Prepare and analyse monthly management reports for an Executive audience and their leadership teams as part of month-end.Identify trends and new opportunities to reduce cost and benchmark operational performance to make great business decisions and understand the meaning behind the numbers.Be involved in the budgeting and forecasting process, ensuring it is seamless for all stakeholders.Enhance communication of financial performance to non-finance stakeholders and drive efficiencies and automation of reporting.Provide timely and accurate data/information to stakeholders both inside and outside the Finance team.Look for new ways of working, bringing your continuous improvement mindset to everything you do. This role will suit someone with a curious mind and transferrable skills and experiences, including: Demonstrated expertise in delivering value-driven financial reporting, budgets, and forecasts to senior leaders.Strong systems skills are a must, with experience in Adaptive Insights and Workday as an advantage.Understanding of the big picture, designing processes, and understanding their day-to-day impacts.A naturally inquisitive approach, strong analytical skills, and the ability to interrogate the numbers while always wanting to improve the quality of our analysis.A natural problem solver and people person, you'll communicate well with colleagues and stakeholders. You won't shy away from complexity - in fact, you'll thrive on the challenge.Juggling multiple priorities at once is your niche; you do this with ease and ensure everyone has everything they need, on time.Advanced skills in the MS Suite of products, particularly Excel.CPA/CA qualified with a degree in a relevant discipline.
