Job Title:LecturerDepartment:Arts and Sciences | StatisticsPosition OverviewThe Department of Statistics in the College of Arts and Sciences seeks applications for one temporary part-time Lecturer to teach undergraduate and/or graduate course(s).
Duties include but are not limited to: leading synchronous classes and/or creating pre-recorded videos; holding office hours; creating and grading assignments and submitting grades; may participate in course materials development, curriculum development, course coordination and may assign and oversee the work of teaching assistants.
Courses may be taught in person on the University's Columbus campus and/or online.
Successful applicants must reside in Ohio during their employment.Performance ObjectivesAccurately present course concepts and guide students through activitiesCreate an engaging and inclusive environment for students in each classDemonstrate commitment to student successWork collaboratively with department faculty, students and staffMaintain confidentiality of student informationEducation and Experience Requirements Required : Master's degree in statistics or closely related field by the start of employment Desired : PhD in statistics or closely related field; instructional experience at the collegiate level; strong written and oral English communication skills; strong interpersonal skillsHow to ApplyTo be considered, please submit your application electronically via Workday (insert link to posting for advertisements).
