Two great opportunities have come to fruition to join a reputable government organisation responsible for construction & maintenance across the Wide Bay Region. We are currently recruiting for two temporary contract roles looking for a Supervisor and Senior Supervisor/Project Coordinator.
Your new role
You will join a team of Supervisors responsible for the supervision of Government Capital Works Projects across the Wide Bay region, ranging from Government housing, schools, ambulances etc. Depending on the role, you could be overseeing periodic maintenance, coordinating building assessments, undertaking inspections, and ensuring the application of safety management systems.
For the more senior role you will need to understand contract management, construction project completions (such O&M Manuals), how to prepare RFI's, EOT's and variations.
What you'll need to succeed
To be considered for this role you must have previous experience working in either construction or maintenance, ideally in a similar capacity. Previous experience with supervision of projects along with strong computer skills are preferred, while candidates who have worked hands on in construction or maintenance are also encouraged to apply. You will also possess strong leadership skills and be able to communicate effectively. A QBCC Site Supervisors Licence will be well regarded but is not essential. The ability to obtain a blue card for working with children will be required, which is easily procured if you don't have any criminal convictions.
What you'll get in return
A competitive hourly casual rate of $59.85 for the Supervisor role, $65.91 for the Senior role is on offer + Superannuation. It is expected this will initially commence as a 3-month contract with extensions likely.
