Snowy 2.0 is the next chapter in the Snowy Scheme's history.
It is the largest committed renewable energy project in Australia and will provide on-demand energy and large-scale storage for many generations to come.
This Iconic Project has and will continue to create its own legacy in Australian history.
Purpose of the Role : Responsible for supporting the management of the Cost Control functions on the Snowy 2.0 project by monitoring the overall control of project activities and project forecasting, for the progress, analysis and cost management of the project in compliance with the FGJV agreed upon budget and resources.
This position is based in Cooma - Fulltime.
Relocation and company housing provided.
Sydney based Candidates have the option to FIFO M-F direct to Cooma airport.
Qualifications : Bachelor's degree in Engineering Management, Commerce or equivalentCert IV in Training and Assessment - desirableWhite CardExperience : At least 5 years of experience in a similar based, managerial role on projects of similar size and complexity to the Project, preferably within a construction environmentBackground experience in estimating and scheduling, preferred not essentialProject management background, preferred not essentialRequired Competencies : Sound knowledge in budgeting and forecastingGeneral knowledge of the process of a construction siteProficiency in SAP / Candy and VisionProficient with the use of Microsoft ExcelGeneral knowledge of personnel, inventory and subcontractor managementProficient interpersonal and organisational skillsExcellent verbal and written communicationHas a thorough understanding of the Project Deed requirementsSound interpersonal skills and ability to build and maintain relationshipsLanguage : fluent English mandatory; an additional language constitutes an advantageExceptional attention to detailCore Accountabilities and Responsibilities : Work collaboratively in both an inter and intra departmental mannerMaintains records and documents in accordance with SI NRW JV requirementsEnsures work is completed in a timely manner and in accordance with project, or other relevant deadlinesPrepare the bid reorganization, the budget and the forecast for the area in accordance with the agreed WBS / WBE under the supervision of the AFC Manager in cooperation with the projectProvide monthly reporting to the relevant project and area personnelAssist in financial decision making by providing analysis on the performance trendsMonitor the Snowy 2.0 project during the execution phase by analysing and comparing the achieved results against the budget to identify any variancesRevise the analyses of all project activities, factoring achieved performance in relation to new economic targets in order to anticipate recurrent forecastsGathering of daily production data from the job sitePerform cost analysis simulation backed by empirical data that aims at improving production and reducing risk contribution to the overall project successAny other ad hoc duties as directed by the AFC ManagerThe above listed authorities & responsibilities are only a guide and may change as directed by your Manager / Supervisor or as per the requirements of FGJV Management.
