Assistant Principal – St John the Apostle Catholic Primary School, Narraweena St John's Catholic Primary School, Narraweena is currently seeking a passionate, experienced and innovative Assistant Principal.
This is a permanent, full-time opportunity to commence at the start of Term 1, 2025.

About the School St John the Apostle Catholic Primary School, Narraweena is based in Sydney's Northern Beaches & was opened in 1962.The Brigidine nuns were the religious sisters who initially staffed the school, and the motto of that religious order "Strength and Gentleness" is also the current school motto, which is a central part of our school today.
Specific Criteria We invite applications from practising Catholics who actively contribute to the life and community of a Parish.
Middle leadership experience demonstrated by Lead Teacher practice or equivalence as described in the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers Effective leadership, development, implementation and/or evaluative experience of RE curriculum, assessment and reporting Successfully led an effective school improvement initiative that improved the learning experience and outcomes for all students Effectively made use of data and evidence to inform and drive improvement Demonstrated experience leading and/or responding to transformation and change Demonstrated experience in order to create a cohesive team environment Demonstrated ability to engage and influence people to positively contribute to achieving outcomes The ability to create an environment for people to work productively and purposefully A track record of managing self to meet deadlines, deliver high quality work with emotional self-awareness and awareness of others Excellent interpersonal and communication skills The ability to engage with and evaluate relevant research, best practices and data to inform future practices A keen eye for detail to deliver consistently accurate and informed written and verbal communications suitable for the receiving audience NESA approved undergraduate or postgraduate qualifications in Teaching or Education & RE Post-graduate qualifications (or working towards) in a related subject area (e.g.
Leadership, Theology/RE, Educational Leadership) from an approved tertiary institution Accreditation to Work, Teach and Lead in a CSBB school (i.e.
Level E) Accreditation at (or working towards) Lead Teacher (desirable though not essential) Valid Working with Children Check How do I apply?

New position on COVID-19 vaccinations Given the current management of risks associated with COVID-19 in the community, and the gradual wind-back of some settings, CSBB has decided to no longer require all staff to be fully vaccinated, effective 19 September 2022 .
Staff who are not vaccinated will be required to wear masks when working with children at greater risk of serious illness owing to a medical condition and/or physical disability.
