About the role We are currently seeking a People Advisor to join Laing O'Rourke on a large Civil/Rail project based in Melbourne, VIC.
This full-time role offers exciting career opportunities in joining a people-centric, privately owned tier 1 constructor and an international engineering enterprise.
Key responsibilities Provide timely and accurate HR/IR advice and guidance Facilitate and support with performance development, performance management and disciplinary processes. Support the People Lead in development and implementation of proactive employee engagement and retention strategies Actively contributes to the achievement of the people business plan and more. Supporting all HR activities across the project including all employment lifecycle, supporting resource planning, workforce development, employee development and engagement Provide support to initiatives that align with the delivery of the projects Workforce Development and Industry Participation Strategy and Plan. About you Minimum of 5+ years experience in a generalist Human Resources Advisory role Great interpersonal skills with the ability to build collaborative relationships with stakeholders and influence decision making to achieve necessary outcomes. Proven ability to maintain confidentiality and build trust to deal with sensitive and difficult situations in a diplomatic and respectful manner. A tertiary qualification in Human Resource Management or equivalent Experience within the construction industry is ideal but not essential Benefits We work hard to create an environment that brings out the best in our people.
