People and Culture Advisor

The Opportunity As the People and Culture Advisor, you will have the chance to showcase your expertise in recruitment and talent strategies while contributing to broader initiatives focused on employee engagement, wellbeing, and inclusion.
Reporting to the Senior Adviser – People & Culture, you'll manage recruitment processes from start to finish and support the rollout of innovative programs to attract, develop, and retain top talent.
Key Requirements In this hands-on role, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
Coordinating end-to-end recruitment, from advertising to onboarding and ensuring compliance with APS merit principles and organisational policies.
Deliver fit-for-purpose attraction and selection strategies to build workforce capability.
Support diversity and inclusion initiatives, including Affirmative Measures campaigns.
Assist with the design and implementation of employee engagement and wellbeing programs.
Create and maintain dashboards to track recruitment and talent program success.
What You'll Bring To be successful in this role, you should possess:
Experience in operational recruitment, preferably within the APS or government sector.
Strong knowledge of APS recruitment guidelines, HR policies, and legislative frameworks.
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.
Proficiency in HR systems and a data-driven approach to measuring success.
Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or equivalent experience (AHRI membership is a bonus).
