About The Role
As the Adviser Communities and Social Performance, Closure, you will coordinate and deliver a range of activities within the Communities and Social Performance (CSP) teams across Rio Tinto's APAC Closure portfolio.
This role will provide technical support and act as a central conduit to the asset teams at Gove, Argyle, ERA and Kelian.
You will join an experienced and diverse team of CSP practitioners working in a diverse range of contexts.
With region-wide reach, this is an excellent opportunity to develop your understanding and experience of a unique stage of the asset lifecycle.
Considering closure in the way we design, build and run assets and seeking to create a consensus with stakeholders on a shared vision for the future is central to the work of our team.
Our goal is to leave a positive legacy, delivering value for the Group and our stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Provide on-ground tactical and technical support to the asset teams; Act as a conduit to knowledge sharing between Closure sites; Coordinate and provide practical support in implementing the CSP Standard at transitioning assets and legacy sites; Coordinate and provide practical support for GISTM compliance activities; Support CSP planning and reporting for transitioning and legacy assets; Provide surge on-ground support, including technical advisory on key activities; Support the integration of CSP elements into closure readiness approach across the business.
What You'll Bring
A commitment to the physical and cultural safety of yourself and the team; Tertiary qualification in a relevant field such as community development or the social sciences would be advantageous; Demonstrated experience working in a relevant field such as communities or corporate affairs; Well developed communication and interpersonal skills; Ability to effectively engage with a range of internal and external stakeholders with varying interests and perspectives.
