Senior Director - Integrity Policy
Full-time Temporary Details : The Integrity Policy Branch leads the implementation of the Government's response to the review of the Integrity Commission Act 2018 (IC Act) and Public Interest Disclosure Act 2012 (PID Act).
Working in a small and collaborative team environment, the Senior Director, Legal Policy will provide strategic leadership and guidance to progress complex legal policy work that intersects public sector integrity, governance, employment/industrial relations, and human rights.
The occupant will be an experienced leader and strategic thinker who can interpret legislation and communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders, delivering information and education to support the work of the Integrity Policy Branch and OIRWS.
The Senior Director, Legal Policy will also oversee and guide the preparation and development of policy documentation related to integrity in the ACTPS.
This includes responses to Legislative Assembly Committee reports, developing policy submissions, preparing correspondence, and contributing to the strategic direction of IRPSE.
The occupant will demonstrate a high-level understanding of integrity and governance frameworks in the ACTPS, policy expertise, an ability to generate innovative policy solutions to complex problems, excellent analytical and research skills in relation to policy and legislation, and be self-motivated, responsive to changing priorities, and show initiative, sound judgement, and adherence to tight timeframes.

Eligibility/ Other Requirements:
Legal qualifications or extensive experience in a legal discipline are highly desirable.
Knowledge of ACT Public Sector Whole-of-Government strategies, processes, and procedures is desirable.
Note: This is a temporary position available from 6 January 2025 for a period of six months with the possibility of extension up to 12 months.
A Merit Pool will be established from this selection process and will be used to fill vacancies over the next 12 months.
Selection may be based on application and referee reports only.
Opportunities for flexible working options could include hybrid working, being a combination of working from home, designated office-based, and FlexiSpace working locations across the ACT, part-time hours, job-sharing, flexible start, and finish times.
