About the role: Reporting to the Workforce Strategy Manager, the Workforce Strategy Analyst – Customer Operations will be responsible for delivering a capability gap analysis for the Customer Operations business unit within Sydney Water.
The primary purpose of this role is to work closely with the Customer Operations Team to understand workforce capability and capacity requirements and work with the Workforce Strategy Manager and P&C partnering team to develop and implement workforce planning activities.
These activities include the development of Customer Operations workforce plan that is informed through activities such as a skills matrix and training needs analysis.
When required, the role will also support the development and maintenance of other Group workforce plans.

Key Responsibilities: Assist the Workforce Strategy Manager and Customer Operations Team in creating a strategic workforce plan that aligns with current and future needs, factoring in business drivers, labour costs, capability requirements, gap analyses, and risk identification.
Gain insights into Sydney Water's strategy, business plans, budgets, and projects affecting workforce requirements.
Analyse and interpret data to assess the impact of workforce strategies on organisational outcomes.
Contribute to upskilling efforts to improve workforce planning capabilities among Sydney Water leaders.
Develop regular reports on key workforce metrics for senior stakeholders.
Where required, maintain and update workforce plans for other Groups, adapting to changing business drivers and incorporating them into the planning model.
Essential Criteria: Qualifications: Degree or equivalent experience in the areas of Human Resources and Business.
Experience: HR functional background and strong operational experience in workforce reporting, recruiting, learning, performance management, and people data.
Experience in the Microsoft suite (Excel, PowerPoint) and dashboarding tools (Power BI).
Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to build productive working relationships with a diverse customer base, including senior leadership.
You must be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident at the time of application.
