We manage 26 subsidiary steel supply, processing, and distribution businesses nationwide, employing close to 1,400 staff in both blue-collar and white-collar roles.
About the Role:
Based in the Head Office at Milperra, we are seeking a qualified professional to lead and manage the finance function across the Group.
Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will provide high-level support and work closely with them to oversee the full spectrum of financial functions, including cashflow management, accounting administrative operations, reporting, banking relationships, and leadership of a proficient finance team.
As a key member of the senior management team, you will play a pivotal role in providing strategic insights and ensuring that senior leaders across the Group stay informed about the financial performance of their operations.
There will be times when a hands-on approach is essential, and travel across various states and locations will be required.
About You:
Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Proven experience in a Finance leadership role or similar, particularly in family offices or private business environments.
A familiarity with steel distribution or related industries, along with experience in inventory control and distribution, would be highly regarded.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work closely with senior management and external parties.
Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills, with the ability to identify areas for process improvement.
Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Demonstrate a high level of integrity, responsibility, and a strong commitment to maintaining strict confidentiality.
