Senior Finance Analyst

Our client is a well respected Energy and Infrastructure business who provide, safe, reliable power to the network.
With solid business performance, they are pursuing renewed strategy for 2025.
Due to continued growth, the Finance Director is seeking to appoint a Senior Finance Analyst to play a key role in the development of financial forecasts, budgets, and strategic financial plans, as well as providing detailed analysis of financial data, trends, and market conditions within the energy sector.
Supported by the FP&A Lead and Finance Director, this is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced finance professional with 4–5 years of relevant FP&A or analytical experience, preferably within energy or a related industry.
The ideal candidate will be looking to advance their career in a high-performing FP&A environment, bringing a strong analytical mindset, commercial acumen, and a track record of delivering insights to support business decision-making.
Key Responsibilities: Develop financial forecasts, budgets, and long-term plans using advanced 3-way and special-purpose models in Excel.
Prepare reports and presentations, analysing financial statements and ensuring compliance with accounting principles.
Conduct scenario and sensitivity analyses, advising on financial products, hedging, and cash flow optimisation.
Support debt financing initiatives and analyse commercial agreements to drive strategic outcomes.
Partner with cross-functional teams to provide financial guidance, align with energy market trends, and support Genuity's energy transition goals.
Conduct variance analysis, reforecasting, and board reporting while managing treasury functions like payments and cash flow tracking.
Utilise tools like Tableau and Power BI to optimise performance tracking and drive data-led decisions.
Collaborate with Risk and Trading teams to enhance credit, risk analysis, and business strategies.
Ideal Experience: CA/CPA/CFA.
4-5+ years of accounting or finance experience, with exposure to Management Accounting, FP&A, or financial modelling focused roles.
Strong communication skills, and eagerness to business partner with non-finance functions.
Analytical skillset w/ BI & SQL experience also beneficial.
