About the role:We have an exciting opportunity for a Category Manager to join our Boating/Fishing Team. Our National Support office is based in Strathpine, Brisbane, ideally the applicant is based nearby, however, we are open to location depending on experience. We are looking for a passionate Category Manager who will be responsible for maximising commercial outcomes for the Boating/Fishing Category through alignment of the range offering with trade partners, customers, and the market – enabling a customer centric shopping experience and supporting sales and profit growth through the delivery of the BCF Strategy.Working across our BCF Boating/Fishing range, each day will bring something different but key responsibilities of this role will be to:Ensure financial results are delivered against Category budgets and business KPI'sStrategic Business Planning of ranges to maximise sales and profitEffectively manage all aspects of allocated category ensuring performance is aligned to business expectations.Ensure compliance with legislative requirementsComplete regular and comprehensive range reviewsMotivate and guide individuals and, build high performing teams that leverage diversity; with a clear direction and focus on meeting business and personal goalsBuild and maintain effective partnerships with internal and external stakeholders in order to achieve business prioritiesAbout You:To be successful in this role, you will be a results driven and outcome focused individual, you will also bring:5 + years' experience in the retail industry – preferably in a buying or planning roleFishing knowledge is desirableExperience in Management of gross profit, GMROI and Stock TurnFlair for product and understanding the needs of the CustomerMargin management & pricing experienceDemonstrated experience in product development, direct sourcingAbility to work in a fast paced environmentThe ability to engage, build lasting relationships and influence key internal and external stakeholders to drive successful outcomesExperience in local or overseas product buyingSolid analytical skills, coupled with intermediate capabilities in ExcelExperience in the Microsoft Office Suite, SAP and BW would be advantageousTertiary qualifications in Marketing or a Business disciplineRecognised training in Category Management and / or Australian Consumer LawWe Offer:Flexible work arrangements, hybrid set up between the office and homeCommitment to your professional development with ongoing opportunities for progressionGenerous Team Member Discounts across all Super Retail Group brandsPerks Program including discounts on health and well-being, entertainment, travel and accommodation and moreOur Culture of InclusionAs an Equal Opportunity Employer, BCF and Super Retail Group strive to create an inclusive environment for all employees.
