About the Role Joining our Lifestyles team, you will provide one-on-one support to individuals with disabilities in their homes, with travel between clients and working short, split shifts required.
Successful candidates will have availability for short shifts (up to 2 hours) across weekdays and will be required to travel to different locations to support people with disability living in Peakhurst and surrounding suburbs including Penshurst, Picnic Point and Riverwood. Key Responsibilities Assistance with daily living (including personal care)Domestic assistance (support with household chores)Maintain and monitor person-centred plansDocumenting and progress note keepingCommunity access and transport (with the use of your own vehicle)Skills & Experience Experience supporting people with disabilityConfidence and experience in manual handling and providing personal careAustralian Drivers Licence and reliable, insured vehicleCurrent First Aid and CPRWilling to complete basic household choresPassionate about delivering Person-Centred careAt Life Without Barriers we consider gender a genuine occupational qualification for this position under Section 27 (2), (c), (e) and (g) of the Equal Opportunity Act 1984, and so we ask that only Female applicants apply. To be considered for and appointed to a position at Life Without Barriers, you must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 with a minimum of two (2) doses or hold a valid medical exemption certificate, in accordance with Life Without Barriers Employee COVID-19 Vaccination Policy.
You will be required to provide evidence of your vaccination status during the recruitment process.
