We are committed to our vision of 'better health services for the people of western Sydney and beyond' and to the delivery of health care or related services in line with our core values of collaboration, openness, respect, and empowerment.What you'll be doing :The HiTH Senior Occupational Therapist is responsible for the clinical leadership, coordination, and clinical governance of the HiTH Occupational Therapy service, and to provide a professional level of service, with a commitment to multidisciplinary and evidence-based approaches to service delivery and improving patient outcomes.
The Senior Occupational Therapist is responsible for contributing to the planning, implementation, evaluation, improvement, and reporting of the Occupational Therapy service within Integrated and Community Health.
This position supervises, provides clinical supervision and leadership to level 1 / 2 Occupational Therapists and, where required, involves supervision of Allied Health Assistants (AHA).
This position is expected to work from different locations across WSLHD and rotate across a 7-day, morning and afternoon service, as reasonably required.How to Apply :Apply online by submitting your resume and addressing the criteria listed below by providing examples that demonstrate your ability before the closing date.Selection Criteria :Relevant tertiary qualifications and AHPRA registration as an Occupational Therapist with demonstrated experience and ability in professional and clinical supervision, and support of staff.Significant post-graduate experience and skills in Occupational Therapy assessment, planning, and evaluating interventions for clients in the community setting with post-acute and / or chronic and complex health conditions.Able to utilise relevant evidence-based, best practice guidelines to guide decision making for best client outcomes and demonstrated high level communication skills with internal and external stakeholders.Demonstrated effective time management and organisational skills, including the ability to prioritise service needs, own caseload, and competing demands.Ability to initiate, lead, complete, and implement quality improvement initiatives and service evaluation processes and lead ongoing quality improvement activities with staff.Experience in providing clinical supervision to Occupational Therapists and / or students.Current NSW class C Driver's License and willingness to use for work purposes.Requisition ID : REQ540623Applications Close : 5th January 2025Please be aware that due to the Christmas / New Year period, there may be a delay in the progress of your application.
