About the Role… This is a maximum term casual contract role from 24 March 2025 to 23 April 2025.
We are looking for experienced data administrators with a keen eye for detail, a love for competing project deadlines, and outstanding customer service qualities.
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Competitions Administration & Systems, you will join a team providing competitions administration services (CAS) to all our Sydney Royal Competitions.
Using our bespoke competitions administration software and database, the purpose of this role is to ensure the integrity of all entries, judging, results, and publications for our agricultural competitions.
This is a highly administrative role, mainly operating in the Ring Control room of the ENGIE Stadium.
Your primary role will be to actively support horse competition judging results and maintain results and prizes in the competitions databases.
You will also assist the Competitions team with their Competition portfolios.
About you... You will be significantly involved in user acceptance testing, so you must be comfortable using business technology systems.
A high degree of literacy and accuracy is a requirement for this role, and you must be able to gain knowledge on the spot.
You will have: Understanding and capability in technology (laptops, iPads, mobile devices)A proven track record in proofreading and editing publications and/or databasesAn eye for configuring and maintaining databasesAbility to coach and support a diverse team in the use of technologyExcellent relationship building skillsProven skills in MS Office Suite at an intermediate levelProfessionalism, patience, and a "people-first" attitudeAvailability to work additional hours, weekends, and public holidays as required in the lead-up to and during the Sydney Royal Easter ShowAbout us… The Royal Agricultural Society of NSW (RAS) manages the Sydney Royal Easter Show, Sydney Royal competitions, the RAS Foundation, Australasian Animal Registry, and the Sydney Showground.
