The Role The role requires an experienced and qualified Educator to lead a team of Educators to ensure they are working in accordance with policy and procedures.
This role is highly dynamic and creative, giving the right candidate the opportunity to deliver a truly inspiring Montessori early learning experience.
Responsible for the guidance, support and general supervision of staff, students and volunteers in the room.To develop the Children's Program (reflecting Early Years Learning Framework guidelines).In compliance with the OH&S Policy, ensure a safe environment is maintained for staff and children, with particular attention to children with anaphylaxis, allergies, asthma, etc.To ensure that accurate records are kept regarding accidents, incidents, injuries, illness, and medication.To liaise with families regarding day-to-day happenings.To maintain observations and records of individual children's progress, particularly those identified through staff observation.A Successful Candidate will have : A Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (or ACECQA equivalent).Experience working as a Room Leader in an early childhood setting.Current Working with Children Check.First Aid Certificate or willingness to obtain one.Excellent understanding and working knowledge of the National Quality Framework, which includes: National Regulations, National Quality Standards (NQS), and the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF).Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work collaboratively and cooperatively in a team environment.Strong understanding of the importance of family communications.Strong understanding of the Montessori Philosophy.Commitment to the holistic development of their class.What we offer : 17.5% annual leave loading.Virtual and in-person Montessori workshops.Fully funded ECT courses.50% staff discount on childcare fees.Generous discounts to major retailers (Woolworths, Coles, Adore Beauty, Apple, Specsavers).Access to Employee Assistance Program.Generous classroom budgets for events and resources.Great company culture that is fun, professional, and supportive of all team members.Think you have what it takes to join the Montessori Academy Team?
