About the Role:
The Major Client Group serves over 1,600 large businesses in Australia, catering to clients with annual turnovers over $150M and loans between $50M and $500M across various industries like property, healthcare, retail, transport, and more.
Our team brings industry-specific expertise in financing, wealth and risk management, transactional banking, and international trade.
We prioritize client relationships and collaboration, delivering insights and creative solutions to drive sustainable growth.
Your Impact:
As a vital part of the team, you'll support a Relationship Executive managing a portfolio of diverse clients with complex lending structures, tailored to meet their bespoke financial requirements.
Responsibilities include:
Writing, negotiating, and managing credit applications for new and existing clients.
Conducting due diligence, financial modelling, sensitivity analysis, and risk analysis.
Researching prospects and preparing pitch packs, complex papers, and discussion white papers.
Overseeing complex corporate banking transactions and mentoring analysts.
Driving quality, credit management, portfolio monitoring, revenue growth, and loss prevention.
Undertaking covenant monitoring and annual reviews.
What We Are Looking For:
We seek a critical thinker with past exposure to Corporate Banking transactions, either within the banking industry or within professional and insolvency accounting environments.
The ideal candidate will have:
Strong commercial acumen and accounting fundamentals, with the ability to exercise commercial judgement.
Familiarity with complex lending and organizational structures.
Ability to interpret and assess balance sheet, profit & loss and cashflow statements.
Strong financial modelling skills and proficiency in Excel.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to write concise credit submissions with insightful commentary.
