Employees and members work together with local and international bodies to represent the views and concerns of the profession to governments, regulators, industries, academia and the general public.
As the Head of Membership, you are responsible for the strategic leadership and oversight of the policies, operations and standards for all member admissions, advancement, renewals and cessations, as well as public practice certification and migration skills assessments.
This role is pivotal in supporting the achievement of CPA Australia's strategic goals of attracting new members through unrivalled offerings and building members' interdisciplinary skills to accelerate their career success whilst upholding the integrity of the designation by ensuring the application of consistent policies and processes for assessments.
Your key responsibilities include overseeing the management of all aspects of key activities within the portfolio, ensuring adherence to the relevant frameworks, CPAA Constitution, By-Laws, policies and procedures.
These include, but are not limited to:
Membership renewals, including financial hardship assessments Retirement transfers Membership cessations Skilled migration assessments Public Practitioner certification processes, including compliance activities for professional indemnity insurance Membership certificate and milestone processes Work experience assessments Student support plans This position is a fixed term contract to December 2025
About You:
You will come to us with demonstrated people and team management capabilities, relationship management, and competence to be adaptive to change.
You will also possess:
Strong compliance, quality management or audit knowledge.
Strong business process improvement skills Previous experience with supporting system implementations and upskilling teams to adopt new systems and processes Proven and strong management experience within a member service environment.
Strong knowledge of accounting, professional standards and the assessment of qualifications.
Strong influencing and communicating skills.
Understanding of MS CRM databases Ideally Degree qualified with experience within the University or Migration sector a bonus Why we love working here:
