Full timeBase + Super + Salary Continuance InsuranceDue to recent project wins and increase in demand for our consulting engineering services, Stantec Community Development team is seeking to appoint a Senior Civil Engineer in our Darwin office.
We have a strong pipeline of work in the Land Development (subdivision) and Building sectors (civil) and are seeking to grow the technical and leadership capabilities to manage this growth.About the roleThis role includes project design and delivery across a range of projects and sectors.
Projects range from early concept design and master planning through to detailed design and construction documentation.
The role will require independent design, project delivery and stakeholder management.The role will suit someone who has a good technical design background, strong consulting engineering and project delivery skills, including a clear knowledge of standards and processes.
This role is not suitable for a graduate.Day to day tasks would involve:Demonstrated Australian civil design mainly relating to urban, land, subdivisions or buildings.Construction phase support, design review, stakeholder management, liaison with authorities, reporting, contract administration and quality audits.Liaising with engineers, designers, and drafters.Adhering to professional standards, ethics and Stantec quality procedures.Managing clients and other consultants.Assist with project management and business development.Support Project Leaders Managers in completing projects in terms of program, profitability, technical risk management and overall Client satisfaction.Mentor and develop other team members as required.To be successful for this role you'll need:Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.Demonstrated experience in civil engineering related to design and delivery of urban, land, buildings and subdivisions.Knowledge of applicable Australian standards, codes and state requirements.Obtain CP Eng and NT Registration as soon as eligible.Eligible to obtain Defence baseline security clearance.What we offer:Along with a competitive salary we offer many other benefits to ensure your professional development & wellbeing is ongoing.Genuine Flexible Working Arrangements - Including work from home opportunities, provision for school term contracts, job sharing and part-time employment.Option to purchase up to 4 weeks additional leave.Learning and Talent Development Programs - Including Global programmes, online learning and on-the-job learning.Mentoring for your own development and the opportunity to mentor others.A friendly team environment, with dedicated and enthusiastic staff committed to producing high quality service and deliverables.Professional Memberships.Salary Continuance Insurance (SCI).Mental Health and Wellbeing Programs.Service Recognition Awards.Employee Assistance Program.About StantecThe Stantec community unites approximately 31,000 employees working in over 400 locations across six continents.
