We provide fully integrated environmental and social assessment and management services including concept and feasibility, technical assessment, consultation, approvals, delivery, operation, and decommissioning. In Western Australia, our team of environmental, ecological, social, and spatial consultants work on large scale renewable energy projects, resources, infrastructure, government and Defence projects all around the State and nationally.About the RoleAs a member of our Western Australia Environmental Team, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our clients by delivering comprehensive environmental assessments, environmental planning, approvals, environmental management and sustainability projects across various sectors, including renewables, resources, and infrastructure.Key ResponsibilitiesProject Management: Scope, plan, manage, and execute environmental assessment, environmental planning, environmental management and sustainability projects, ensuring integrated outcomes and high-quality deliveryTechnical Delivery: Maintain a focus on delivering high-quality project outcomes that meet the needs of our clientsClient Engagement: Build and maintain strong client relationships, developing high-quality proposals to secure new businessAbout YouQualifications in environmental science, planning, or related degree disciplineMinimum of 5 years of experience in environmental impact assessment or environmental planning (WA experience preferred) - consulting experience is desirableStrong knowledge of environmental and planning legislation, regulations, standards, and best practicesExperience managing medium to large projects through the development spectrum, including managing timelines, budgets, and resourcingExperience working on energy sector related projects, including renewable energy and/or electricity transmission desirable, and/or resource sector related projects.Adaptability to undertake a range of technical work based on project requirementsInterest and aptitude in working across multiple disciplinesStrong verbal and written communication skillsAbility to develop and maintain positive team and client relationshipsIf you are an experienced Senior Environmental Consultant with a passion for delivering results, we'd love to hear from you.What We OfferA role working with experienced professionals to support your growth and developmentOpportunities to work nationally across diverse and technically challenging projects#MeDays – an Umwelt wellbeing initiative offering staff one extra paid day off per month (12 days per year for FTE) to support mental healthFlexible work arrangements to support a work/life balanceGenerous additional hours policy and working away from home benefitsPaid parental leave for both primary and secondary carersOpportunities to join the company's Employee Share Plan (ESP)A workplace culture of learning and personal development, with a mix of in-house and externally hosted training opportunities offered as well as mentorshipEstablished and well considered wellbeing tools and initiatives and hands-on trainingA competitive salary based on skills and experienceDiversity and InclusionAt Umwelt, we are committed to fostering a workplace that embraces diversity and inclusion.
