We are the main provider of health services to people living in the inner southeast suburbs of Melbourne, from ambulatory to inpatient and home and community-based services.
Position: Permanent Part Time (0.7 EFT / 56 Hours) (including weekends)
Role: Administrative Worker Grade 1
Location: Caulfield Hospital

The Department of Health Information Services (HIS) provides invaluable operational support that contributes to the efficient functioning of Alfred Health services.
The Health Information Services team plays a fundamental role in delivering health information to the Alfred Health community.
Our team prides itself on the ability to support our clinical and clerical teams to provide the best patient care.
Health Information Services supports the delivery of quality health information across the three campuses at Alfred Health.
Responsibilities include:
Management of medical recordsManagement and governance of patient medical record numbersPatient administration system (iPM)Scanning and importing of all internal and external clinical documentationStatutory reporting of all inpatient episodes (VAED)Dictation and transcription servicesEnquiries including the main reception at the Alfred Hospital, Paula Fox Melanoma and Cancer Centre, and Caulfield HospitalSwitchboard services at The Alfred and Caulfield HospitalsRelease of information to external health servicesManagement and coordination of subpoena and warrant complianceAlfred Health ArchivesAs one of Victoria's largest health services, Alfred Health offers variety, innovation, and the chance to challenge yourself and be part of a collaborative and caring team.

Qualifications & Experience RequiredEssential: Year 12 or relevant work experience
Desirable: Highly developed organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills; Administrative and customer service experience in a hospital environment.
