Wyla provides a safe environment to withdraw from alcohol and/or other drugs, as well as a 16-bed residential unit for people who need a structured live-in environment and have completed their detox program.Your opportunityThis role will lead the withdrawal and rehabilitation unit, working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team of Clinicians, Support Workers, and Nurses.
We are looking for a leader who is motivated to provide guidance and leadership to the passionate and professional clinical staff of the withdrawal services team, providing holistic care and treatment to our clients.You will oversee and manage all clinical and operational functions at Wyla.
This includes supervising and governing clinical interventions, counselling, group facilitation, and case management.
Additionally, you will be responsible for staff management and rostering.The role works closely with and is supported by the Clinical Services Manager and provides leadership and support to the staff across the service with significant contribution to the development and delivery of clinical practice.You will be a leader and mentor to a team of approximately 16 part-time and full-time staff and several casual staff.
This role requires you to balance the operational, clinical, and human resource needs of the service.Responsibilities will also include, but not limited to:Provide day to day clinical oversight of program delivery and the wellbeing of the residents.Coordinate and supervise staff who are responsible for the delivery of treatment and recovery services.Provide leadership and guidance to staff including setting priorities, development, and appraisal of staff.Ensure continuity of care by effectively communicating within the multidisciplinary team and across interface with other health care providers.Promote the program, communicate regularly with, and build and maintain collaborative working relationships with program partners and all relevant stakeholders.Chair and contribute to regular case conferences, presentations, and team discussions in relation to clinical practice and issues.This is a full-time, ongoing role.
The salary for this position is gross $106,379 – 111,094 plus superannuation.

With several years' experience in the AOD, Mental Health or the residential services sector, you will understand and embrace the complexity of working in a residential setting and have the skills and capacity to meet these unique challenges.You'll also have the following skills and attributes:Tertiary level qualification in a relevant discipline such as Social Work, Mental Health Nursing, Allied Health, Psychology or similar.Demonstrated experience leading a residential service team.Experience in developing and facilitating evidence-based clinical education programs.Significant experience working with clients with complex needs, with alcohol and other drug dependencies and/or mental health concerns.Demonstrated leadership skills to provide clinical and operational leadership and management of a multi-disciplinary team (including human and financial resource matters).Demonstrated experience in supporting and mentoring staff.Highly developed consultation, communication, and interpersonal skills, to engage effectively with diverse clients, staff, and stakeholders.Excellent organisational and time management skills.Strong problem-solving capabilities with a collaborative and solution-focused approach.Drivers Licence and Working With Children Check.What matters most is that you'll live and breathe our values, which means:You are humble, human, and full of hope.You show up and share.You ask: Why not?
