The Oaks is a residential home for adults who have learning disabilities and complex needs, including behaviours that may challenge, autism and other associated issues.
The home has accommodation for up to 9 people.
We are recruiting a Team Leader for our adult residential home in Malvern.
The role involves supporting the management team to run the home according to standards and legislation; running shifts, developing care plans outlining what care and support individuals need, inducting new staff and supervisions.
Join us and you can expect: £12.35 per hour while working towards QCF level 3 (or equivalent)£12.60 per hour - QCF level 3 (or equivalent) and minimum 2 years experience£13.30 per hour - Level 2 Certificate in Team Leading (or accredited equivalent qualification e.g., QCF 4 in health and social care)Holiday top-up payments made for regular overtime (T's & C's)Paid breakResponsibilities: Running shifts according to standards and legislationDeveloping care plans outlining what care and support individuals needInducting and mentoring new staffConducting supervisionsSocialising with our residents and creating fun and engaging activities and home eventsCooking and support in the kitchen during meal times including a free meal for youAssisting with fantastic days out with our residentsAssisting with personal care with residents when requiredCompleting relevant documentation for the residents you supportUndertaking cleaning duties in accordance with the home's standards and expectationsAdministering medication to service usersAttending meetings and undertaking training as requiredTraining: Funded apprenticeships and diplomasAccredited Positive Behaviour Management TrainingMandatory training providedKey Skills Required: NVQ / QCF Level 2 in Health and Social CareNVQ / QCF level 3 in Health and Social Care to be achievedDemonstrable understanding of the legislative requirements around care of vulnerable peopleMCA and DOLS understanding of the requirementsStrong numeracy, literacy and computer skillsBroad knowledge of Learning Disabilities and other related conditionsParticipating in on-call essentialWe are looking for people who are: Caring and respectful, enabling the people we support to have a high quality of life and make their own decisionsFlexible and adaptable, willing to go the extra mile if it means making a positive difference to someone's lifeEnthusiastic with excellent communication skills, committed to developing positive working relationshipsLiving within a 20-mile radius of Malvern (Essential)Safeguarding Commitment: We are committed to the safety and well-being of the individuals who use our services and promote safer recruitment practices.
