DESCRIPTION: AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure.

Key job responsibilities
As an Optical Network Development Engineer working within AWS Infrastructure you will:
Build, Operate and rollout our global DWDM networksDrive scaling current DWDM designs to meet the demand of our customersCreate processes that help operate and build our DWDM networkWork closely with other Networking departments on new designsEnsure that the DWDM network adheres to the defined network standardsReview and implement changes on the DWDM networkDrive operational excellence projects to drive improvements in our DWDM network quality and reliabilityTroubleshoot complex problems and develop innovative solutions day to day on our network.About the team

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: - 1+ years of automation scripting using Python, Bash, Shell and/or Perl experience
- 5+ years' experience with the rollout of large DWDM networks and Optical network technologies
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- 4+ years of working in a Linux/Unix environment experience
