Mercy Community Services are on the search for a Senior Legal Counsel to join our team.
This role is a Permanent Full-Time role based in our Nudgee office (with up to 2 'Working from Home' day opportunity).
Reporting to the General Counsel & Company Secretary, and a key member of the Legal, Governance and Risk Team, you will provide commercially focused legal support and advice to stakeholders across all levels of the organisation. Key responsibilities include: Providing legal advice on a broad range of complex legal matters including privacy matters, regulatory matters, workplace health and safety, employment, property and general commercial matters and disputes;Drafting, reviewing and negotiating a wide range of contracts including supply of goods and services agreements, professional services agreement, IT agreements and leases as well as assisting with policy writing and reviews;Developing and implementing a contract approval process and managing the legal workflow intake process;Assisting with organisational compliance and risk management;Developing and presenting training for employees including in relation to privacy, whistleblower protections, contractual matters and legislative and regulatory changes;Assisting with Company Secretarial tasks.Salary commensurate with experience plus superannuation plus generous salary packaging available. About you: To be successful, you will be a qualified lawyer with solid experience in private practice or in-house.
