In this role, you'll: Join Australia's biggest public transport infrastructure program and make a genuine difference for the people of NSW. This position will lead, plan and manage the Project planning including producing and managing the overall Master Integrated Schedule (MIS), managing individual contract programs, milestones and portions and any change to the MIS as part of Sydney Metro West Project.
Reporting to the Associate Director Program Management the role manages all aspects of the program schedule and change control of the project and is the "single point of truth" for all Project program data, providing a whole-of-project oversight of project status and proposed changes against scope, time and budget with a view to maintaining a proactive approach to program and cost forecasts.
Lead the management of the MIS to cover all phases of the Project from construction to operational readiness to commissioning and into revenue service.Lead the development and implementation of a realistic and robust program plans including the development of protocols and contingency plans.Provide program input to allow realistic and accurate cost plans to be produced as part of the overall Master Project Budget process.Provide whole-of-project oversight of the Master Integrated Schedule status and advice on progress against the individual approved contract programs.Identify and report potential or actual program achievement or delays to the Director – PMO.Lead the change control process to ensure changes are introduced in a controlled and coordinated manner.Periodically participate in program wide effort to analyse systems, processes and procedures to support the continuous improvement.About you To be successful, you will:
Have extensive proven experience in the development and delivery of complex rail and/or transport infrastructure projects with specific experience in the development of project planning and control of schedules.Have a high level of organisational skills and demonstrated effectiveness handling multiple tasks, setting priorities, managing timeframes and meeting deadlines under pressure.You will be an influential relationship manager, with the ability to manage a diverse range of stakeholders who have different and often divergent needs and requirements.Ability to effectively communicate complex issues both verbally and in writing with a wide range of personnel and stakeholders across multiple levels and organisations.Expert level competency of using scheduling tools such as Primavera P6 (Mandatory) with a minimum of 5 years direct scheduling experience and previous experience leading a team of 5+ Schedulers.Project scheduling, including managing dependencies, resource assignments, baselining and critical path analysis.Earned value analysis, particularly with regards to Schedule Performance Index (SPI).Who we are Transport for NSW provides a safe, integrated, and efficient transport system.
