Technical Director - Live Events Production Are you a skilled leader with a passion for live events and technical production?
We are seeking an experienced Technical Director to play a pivotal role in delivering world-class events at one of New Zealand's premier venues.
About the Role
As the Technical Director based in Auckland, New Zealand , you will oversee the planning and execution of all technical aspects of events, ensuring seamless delivery from concept to completion.
This role requires strong expertise in AV, lighting, sound, and staging, alongside exceptional leadership and project management skills.
You'll collaborate closely with clients, suppliers, and the internal team to deliver unforgettable event experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
Technical Planning & Execution: Lead the design, planning, and implementation of audio, visual, lighting, and staging solutions for events.
Production Management: Oversee all phases of production, maintaining timelines, budgets, and high-quality standards.
Team Leadership: Mentor and manage a team of technical professionals, fostering collaboration and excellence.
Equipment Management: Oversee inventory, maintenance, and scheduling of technical equipment to meet event requirements.
Client Collaboration: Work directly with clients to understand their needs and provide expert advice to enhance their event experience.
Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure all technical setups adhere to safety regulations and best practices.
About You:
Extensive experience in live events or entertainment production management.
Comprehensive knowledge of AV, lighting, sound, and staging, with hands-on expertise in setup and operation.
Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
Exceptional communication and client-facing abilities, with a proactive problem-solving mindset and strong attention to detail.
