Associate Nurse Unit Manager - Myles Ward Apply now Job no: 875860 Work type: Part time Location: Adelaide Metro Southern Categories: Nursing/Midwifery Salary: $100,343- $107,279 RN/M2A (Pro Rata) | Part Time 32 hours p/w – Contract until June 2025 Are you an experienced leader ready to take on a rewarding role in the Southern Adelaide Local Health Network?
Employees in this role will use their clinical knowledge and experience to provide the pivotal coordination of patient/client care delivery in a patient/client care area within the Myles Ward at Noarlunga Health Services, Southern Adelaide Local Health Network.
The main focus of this role is the line management, coordination, and leadership of the nursing/midwifery team and/or multi-disciplinary team activities, including local resource management to achieve continuity and quality of patient/client care and outcomes.
About the Role: As the Associate Nurse Unit Manager, duties for the role may include: Provide leadership and direction, act as a role model, mentor, consultant, and resource person Lead and coordinate the development and evaluation of clinical protocols, standards, policies, and procedures Initiate, develop and implement educational and/or clinical protocols/standards Undertake and/or oversee local resource management within the corporate administrative framework, including recruitment, staffing, leave management; rostering, work allocation and attendance management; financial and supplies planning and monitoring About you: Registered Nurse and/or Midwife with at least 3 years post-registration experience Demonstrated leadership qualities including highly developed skills in communication, problem-solving, conflict resolution, and negotiation Registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and holds or is eligible to hold a current practicing certificate Experience in management and leadership roles Please see the attached Role Description for additional information.
