A full range of paediatrics and adolescent health services are provided plus tertiary and quaternary care for the most critically ill and medically complex patients in Victoria, Tasmania, southern NSW and other states around Australia and overseas.
The Hospital has more than 6,000 staff, a budget of $850M, 12 wards and 350 beds.
Annually, the RCH has 300,000+ Specialist Clinic appointments, 90,000+ Emergency Department presentations and 20,000 elective surgeries.RCH enjoys high employee engagement and is committed to staff safety and a positive culture through enactment of our Compact.About the Role:This is a permanent Full-Time position at 1.0 EFT/76 hours per fortnight within the Paediatric Infant and Perinatal Emergency Retrieval service at the Royal Children's Hospital, Melbourne, Australia.Your role has key responsibilities in PIPER's financial management, operational support and as a member of the PIPER Leadership group.You will work with the PIPER Director and Nurse Unit Manager to manage PIPER's non-clinical systems, analysing and reporting on service operations, and identifying strategic opportunities through development of business cases to support capital and service resourcing.Classification for this position will range from AO71-AO75.What You'll Achieve:You will lead the management of PIPER business and non-clinical operations.You will innovate for best practice in business processes.You will establish and maintain excellent relationships with PIPER's internal and external stakeholders.Your Skills and Experience:Tertiary qualification in business administration or related area.Substantial experience in an administrative role.Experience working in healthcare would be advantageous.Other Requirements:Current National Criminal Record Check, or willing to obtain.Valid Working with Children Check.Compliance with RCH's "Staff Immunisation - Prevention of Vaccine Preventable Diseases" procedure.Application process:To apply, you will need a resume and a tailored cover letter outlining your skills, experience, and suitability for the position in line with the requirements of the position description.Shortlisting for this position will commence immediately.
