Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Area Sales Manager to join our Sales department, covering the Midlands Territory.
The ideal candidate will have a strong sales background and a proven track record in the metal cutting industry.
This role focuses on both account management and business development, targeting large end users within the region.

Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain strong business relationships with existing clients.
Prepare and process documentation for orders.
Manage existing accounts while actively seeking and establishing new ones.
Define and propose manufacturing solutions tailored to meet customer needs.
Present machine specifications and associated costs to clients.
Coordinate resources, including Applications and Service teams, to deliver optimal solutions.
Support customers in justifying purchases and calculating return on investment.
Ensure timely achievement of payment milestones.
Manage and complete all necessary documentation in line with internal agreements.
Achieve an annual Capital Sales target of approximately 8 million.

Person Specification:
Essential Criteria:
Proven sales negotiation skills.
Minimum of 3 years of sales experience within the metal cutting industry.
Strong engineering background and relevant qualifications.
Confidence in preparing and delivering presentations.
Excellent communication skills at all business levels.
Superior time management and planning abilities.
Highly motivated and self-driven.
Ability to identify and capitalize on new business opportunities.
In-depth knowledge of the customer base within the West Midlands region.
Desirable Criteria:
Strong understanding of the machine tool market.
Experience with CRM systems.
Completion of a time-served apprenticeship.
Experience in preparing and presenting technical quotations.
