Chef - Treendale Farm Hotel

The Treendale Farm Hotel is looking for Chefs to work with our kitchen team who will report to the Head Chef & Venue Manager.
Duties & Responsibilities Demonstrate understanding of food preparation and production in the kitchen department, whilst taking direction from the Head Chef to ensure smooth operation of all kitchen duties.
Food Operations Ensures the consistency of all menu items regardless of time of day or period of serviceDay to day effective involvement in food operationsLiaising with Chefs and kitchen team to ensure smooth delivery of food to guestsOperation of kitchen equipment to achieve required results for ala carte and function serviceWork with the Head Chef to advance and improve current food operationsHas understanding of stock control and works together with the kitchen team to minimize wastageVenue Security & Compliance Understanding of venue access and security of food stockMaintenance of alarm codes, venue keys and other access requestsSafety Compliance and understanding of food safety policy and procedures (HACCP)Responsible for regular safety meetings with heads of departments present providing a forum for risks and hazards to be addressed and documentedFollows kitchen systems, policies, and procedures on shiftStaff Management Understanding of kitchen labour control taking lead from the Head ChefMonitors and enforces kitchen service standards as provided by the Head ChefFollows kitchen systems, policies, and procedures on shiftPersonal Presentation Presenting oneself in accordance with the venue's dress standardsResponding to requests to perform other tasks from time to time which contribute to the overall success of the venue's operationsMaintaining service standards particularly during peak periodsMaintain a 'Can-do' attitude in the face of adversityPerformance Review Performance reviews will be part of your commitment to the position, regular scheduled and unscheduled check-insQualifications & Requirements All applicants must have at least 2 years of experienceAdditional experience is required where the applicant does not have enough or a relevant formal qualificationAll relevant experience will be consideredA positive, friendly, and enthusiastic attitudeThe ability to excel under pressure in a high-volume environment with excellent problem-solving skillsStrong communication, negotiation, and relationship skillsAttention to detail with a focus on consistencyWe ask that you are open and honest in all dealings to the advantage of both you and the businessAbout the Company The Treendale Farm Hotel is a modern family pub with classic pub meals, big pizzas, new ideas, and food for everyone.
