ABOUT THE ROLE The Administration and Operations Coordinator position provides critical operational and administrative support to the State League and Talent Pathways (SL&TP) program, that services the VFL Men and Women, Coates U18 Boys and Girls, AFLW and National Championships competitions and other pathway academy games.
This is a seasonal part-time role that involves 22.5 hours per week to align with the football seasons through Jan - Oct.
A DAY IN THE LIFE OF Key Accountabilities: Database / Systems Administration Develop performance reports and draw insights from data to support coaches.Data entry, updates, cleaning and accurate data management.Operations Administration Assist with basic office administration, such as stationary orders and postage.Assisting with basic finance administration, such as reimbursements, accounts payable and accounts receivable.Assist with office projects as directed by the Program Manager, Wellbeing & Development Lead and/or High-Performance Manager.Submit accreditation and access pass requests.Organise the order, storage, recording, and dissemination of uniforms.Attendance at training and matches (as required).Umpire and Staff Support Assist with responding to general umpire enquiries by phone and email.Assist with communications to staff and umpires.Assist with travel bookings.Assist with coordinating community-building events for the program.Develop and post social media content for umpire recognition, milestones and special events.Rostering and Scheduling Administration Assist with roster administration and updates.Assist with coordination and communicating match day information (including parking, venue changes etc.)
with clubs for Umpire's and staff.Events & Milestones Maintain records and assist in ensuring umpire milestones are celebrated and profiled.OUR IDEAL TEAM MEMBER Core Competencies: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in an administrative, data or operational support role.Strong technical skills with project and database management software and digital tools experience.Proficient interpersonal and relationship skills.Proficient problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Strong communication skills with the ability to connect and influence internal and external stakeholders.A track record of managing multiple tasks and prioritising projects to ensure timely delivery.Mandatory: Excellent problem solving and issue management skills and experience.An ability to work evenings and adjusted hours (Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday) to attend umpire training.Excellent organisational abilities and high attention to detail.Working with Children Check.Sound knowledge of Australian Football.Exposure to football operations / administration (or equivalent other sports).Record of administrative excellence and continuous improvement/efficiencies.Current driver's licence.OUR CULTURE Please visit www.afl.com.au/careers/our-organisation.
