Operations Manager

General/Business Unit Manager (CEO & General Management) The Operations Manager, Permanency Support Program reports to the Chief Executive Officer for an interim period and provides leadership, and strategic recommendations in the areas of responsibility of the position.
The Operations Manager, Permanency Support Program will be responsible for the following:
Enable and support Service Delivery teams to create positive outcomes and satisfaction through a focus on planning, goal achievement and outcomes.Monitor and ensure service compliance at all times.Assist in the management of individual contracts and funding agreements.Contribute and facilitate specific service improvement plans relating to all program areas including:Foster CareShort Term Emergency PlacementsIndividual Placement ArrangementsFee for Service programs.Overseeing quality and compliance of services, ensuring services remain compliant against the quality of the programs and safeguarding frameworks as well as ensuring funding is current, Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Program Level Agreements (PLAs) are compliant and well executed.Develop and maintain strong relationships with families and carers and effective working relationships with relevant government departments, focused on building trust and advocacy for our clients/participants.Ensure timely reviews are undertaken and opportunities for improvement are reported through to the organisation's Chief Executive Officer for an interim period.Lead the organisation in providing best practice strategic organisation development, quality assurance, corporate planning, implementation of IT and communications strategy, business development, organisational performance and risk management initiatives that will ensure the delivery of valued and quality services focused on enhancing financial efficiency and effectiveness.Providing leadership in developing and promoting a learning organisation focused on its people, the organisational culture and quality continuous improvement and learning initiatives.Review the systems and practices to ensure corporate alignment between Goodradigbee Cultural & Heritage Aboriginal Corporation's vision and plan through to individual program/project management outcomes.Participate and facilitate further development of policies and strategies for all areas of responsibility.Salary: Salary $153,764 plus superannuation, a work vehicle (approved for personal use), phone and laptop.

About Goodradigbee's Permanency Support Program The Permanency Support Program (PSP) aims to give every Aboriginal child/young person a loving home, whether that be with parents, family, extended family or through guardianship or quality long term care.We provide culturally supported placement options for children and young people 0-18 years of age.PSP also provides a 'light touch' Aftercare service for young people 18-25 years who have left foster care and for the next 4 years will collaborate with Uniting's Extended Care Pilot program team to provide holistic support to young people using the Advantage Thinking approach.This is a targeted position for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander People.

Minimum Requirements: A degree qualification preferred in Non-Profit Management, Human Services, Organisational Leadership, Business Administration or its equivalent and/or at least five years of non-profit management experience.Exhibit a general understanding and awareness of child welfare systems, current issues and trends.Ability to develop partnerships/network and engage in positive relationships with the community.Commitment to results: "can-do" mindset with emphasis on accountability and driven to meet organisational KPIs.Possess sensitivity to cultural differences present among the organisation's service population and staff.Ability to solve complex and practical problems and effectively deal with complex variables in situations where limited standardization exists.Well-developed leadership, team building and management skills and relevant experience.Excellent analytical and communication skills, including the ability to provide timely advice to Goodradigbee Cultural & Heritage Aboriginal Corporation and Board of Directors.Experience of continuous quality improvement processes.Excellent organisational skills with flexibility to prioritise a range of competing demands.Demonstrated experience working autonomously and with a high degree of initiative and integrity.Demonstrated ability to work to a funding budget whilst ensuring clients' needs are met in the most cost-effective way.Highly developed interpersonal skills with a capacity to build rapport and manage relationships with a diverse range of people, using a collaborative approach to engage others and obtain new initiatives and directions.Current NSW Working with Children Check and Criminal History Check (to be provided prior to Appointment).Our Purpose: Our Organisation is dedicated to delivering culturally appropriate support services to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families and communities.
