Infrastructure Service Provision Manager
Are you our new Infrastructure Service Provision Manager?
This is a new role that will run and supervise the service provided from the local Global Infrastructure Team (GIFT) to the rest of the business.
The GIFT team is responsible for providing first-class cloud infrastructure and engineering for BPD Zenith's Maxicloud solution to our clients and colleagues worldwide.
This is a Melbourne-based role, with a hybrid work arrangement between the Queen Street, Melbourne office and working from home.
International travel may be required for training purposes for up to 2 weeks at a time on an infrequent basis.
What will the Infrastructure Service Provision Manager do at BPD Zenith?
The GIFT team operates through three global territories, EMEA, NA/Canada, and APAC, with centralized procedures and systems administered globally.
Global management exists for the operation at the group level, and the Infrastructure Service Provision Manager role has been created to provide local leadership to the now-growing team in the Melbourne office.
Some of the specific responsibilities include:
Leadership and mentoring of the infrastructure team, creating a culture and ethos within the team, and defining a healthy professional working team attitude.
First-line interface to the departments within BPD Zenith APAC that consume services from the infrastructure team.
Provisioning of infrastructure team services to project delivery teams and project managers.
Liaising with global team members at the group level at regular frequency for stand-ups, weekly resource meetings, and strategy initiatives.
Acting as Major Incident Manager for all critical severity incidents occurring within the Australian region or globally but within the Australian working hours.
Acting in a technical capacity to produce quotes and estimates for infrastructure builds or to run/host meetings with clients in the Australian time zone.
Tracking costs placed against the Infrastructure team.
Ideally, you will have experience with:
Leading technical teams of IT engineers (DevOps/public cloud/infrastructure engineers).
Incident response to infrastructural incidents or root causal factors, and Major Incident Management (ITIL).
Public cloud platform engineering implementation and builds - preferably
AWS .
Containerization – preferably
IBM RedHat Openshift
but also experience with Docker or Kubernetes.
IBM Maximo Application Suite 8/9 ,
IBM Maximo Manage ,
IBM Maximo 7.6 ,
IBM Websphere
would be a distinct advantage.
Understanding of Openshift/containerized platforms, Kubernetes, and/or Docker principles.
Database platforms - DB2 and SQL Server (Oracle a specialist competency).
Infrastructure as code experience – preferably
Ansible
but also Terraform, Chef, Puppet, AWS CloudFormation, Azure Resource Manager, Google Cloud Deployment Manager, etc.
Single Sign-On: SAML, LDAP, SCIM.
Cybersecurity practices and frameworks –
ISO27001 ,
SOC1/2 ,
CyberEssentials+
and/or the NCSC 14 Principles of Cyber Security.
Writing technical documentation.
