This role offers a balance of hands-on work, managing projects, and team leadership.
ABOUT THE ROLEThis role is ideal for someone coming from several different backgrounds including an Infrastructure Lead role where you've managed people and want to now take a step up or an experienced IT operations professional with strong team management skills and a focus on maintaining and optimising IT systems. Your ability to lead a team, manage daily IT operations, and resolve technical issues efficiently will be key to ensuring the reliability and performance of the company infrastructure. Key daily tasks include:
Manage daily IT operations, ensuring the reliability and optimal performance of ICT infrastructure across all sites.Leading, mentoring, and managing an IT team of 3-5 people, fostering a culture of reliability and continuous improvement.Oversee and manage the implementation of technology solutions for new sites, focusing on operational efficiency.Ensure the security and integrity of digital assets through effective cybersecurity management.Maintain vendor relationships, ensuring consistent and reliable service delivery aligned with SLAs and KPIs.Collaborate with internal stakeholders to provide IT support that enhances operational performance.Manage the operational budget for the IT department, focusing on cost-effectiveness and efficient resource use.SKILLS & EXPERIENCEAs the leader of Infrastructure IT operations, you will guide a team to maintain the operational stability of their technology infrastructure. Your expertise in IT operations, team management, and troubleshooting will ensure smooth and efficient daily operations, while your leadership will inspire the team to deliver high levels of performance and reliability. You will have:
Minimum 5 years of experience in Infrastructure engineering or support, IT operations, systems administration, or a similarly related role.Proven experience leading a small team with direct reports.Strong skills in networking, server management, and IT infrastructure.Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a team, ensuring efficient IT operations.Experience in managing vendor relationships and ensuring compliance with SLAs and KPIs.Excellent communication and leadership skills, with a focus on team management and development.CULTURE & BENEFITSThe company culture is vibrant and has been recognised as a great place to work.
