Kardex AutoStore is seeking a motivated self-starter to be in the role of Technical Specialist.
This short-term contract position is to be based in Sydney and shall report to the Director Operations APAC.
This is an amazing opportunity to join a growing company shaping up the project realization team in the regionThe Technical Specialist will act as the single point of contact for all technical aspects of AutoStore related matters for the APAC project and lifecycle teams.
The Technical Specialist will play a crucial supportive role in the sales phase, contributing as a subject matter expert and performing reviews.
He/she will ensure a smooth transition from the implementation phase to the service phase by close collaboration with the customer service team and customer with proactive planning and communication.
He/she will act as the conduit between the local lifecycle team and AutoStore while building the expertise and capability of the local team.
The Technical Specialist is a self-starter, autonomous, people leader, and comfortable working in a startup environment, open to a wide range of tasks at different locationsJOB RESPONSIBILITIESAct as the main contact person for all AutoStore Level 2 to 2.5 support requests from Lifecycle.Conduct knowledge transfer training/sessions within the organization, especially with Lifecycle teams.Assist in escalation to AutoStore as Level 3 until the issue is resolved.Support in reviewing solution designs in the sales phase of new AutoStore projects.Work with LCS to build customer relationships, utilize the excellent logistics network, and cooperate with the company's existing community.Support LCS to consult the customer and propose optimal solutions that deliver customer benefits.Support in project management for technical related topics, providing guidance to the project team on AutoStore related experiences to deliver projects efficiently.Plan and track all activities and communicate the status readily.Confidently communicate project status incorporating relevant and crucial KPIs to all levels of stakeholders.Lead and motivate team members.Actively plan, assist, and collaborate with the customer service team and customer in transitioning the project from realization to service.Work with management to support the setup of the optimal lean project organization.REQUIREMENTSEducation: Tertiary qualification in Business Administration / Project Management Accreditation or Engineering Degree or a similar field.Minimum 2 to 5 years' experience as an engineer with solid AutoStore experience looking to move into a project management role.Detailed understanding of intra-logistics systems and processes.English – fluent (both spoken and written).Travel within the region – High.Behaviours & Competence Required to Perform This Role:Motivated to join a growing startup business.Self-driven and proactive.Meticulous yet strategic.Able to operate in a pressured environment.Demonstrate leadership attributes.Advance presentation skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Clear focus on high quality and ensuring all customer needs are met.Ability to establish effective working relationships across boundaries.How do your skills match this job?Sign in and update your profile to get insights.Your application will include the following questions:How many years' experience do you have as a technical specialist?Do you have customer service experience?Which of the following statements best describes your right to work in Australia?Have you completed a qualification in engineering?What's your expected annual base salary?
