Ran Engineer – Technical Specialist

Technical Specialist in RANOur client is a global leader in Telecommunications.
They are currently looking to hire a Technical Specialist in RAN.
This household brand is offering a professional team environment and above industry wages.
The Technical Specialist role will be part of the Networks RAN team and, as the Radio Access Networks (RAN) Integration & Maintenance Engineering (IME) Subject Matter Expert (SME), will be responsible for:
Technical evaluation, testing, and validation of RAN solutions with dedicated focus to MOCN solutions.Working closely with our technology providers and other networks.Governance of onboarding process, providing final approvals and tweaking of the solution to ensure the closest match to business requirements.Interface with RAN vendors – Nokia, Ericsson, Huawei and other potential ORAN suppliers – to ensure they deliver the required capability and service for 5G and 4G solutions.This role includes:
Review of testing strategies and scrutiny of actual technical results and system capabilities.Conducting evaluations in both model test bed environments as well as during live network PoCs and trials.Communication with engineering teams from TPG with focus on MOCN.Qualifications: A minimum of 5 years' experience in telecommunications.
This should include extensive experience in a technical role in one or more of the following areas:
5G SA, 5G NSAFDD and TDD LTE Mobile Network TechnologiesRRM; RRC; IP routingOSS (Network management)Major emphasis on experience in design and testing RAN Technical with in-depth experience with:
Ericsson, Nokia, and Huawei radio platforms.Monitoring and evaluation of 5G and LTE network software and features.Experience in UE and NR and LTE trace collection using Xcal, QXDM, Geoprobe or equivalent.Ability to understand key RRM procedures and identify correct call flows.Vendor GUI interface experience using tools and attributes from Ericsson ENM, Nokia Manta Ray and Huawei MD2000.In-depth knowledge of lab designs; Rack, BBU/Radio management; cabling and RF isolation.In-depth knowledge of TCP/IP and Radio Interface Protocols.In-depth knowledge of Tools and Test Equipment and their relevance to the Optus Lab environment and test environment.If this role is of your interest, please do apply or call Andy @.
