Our client is searching for a Data Technical Specialist with a strong background in data profiling, lineage, and classification, combined with excellent technical problem-solving skills. The ideal candidate will be responsible for in-depth data analysis, mapping, and governance, collaborating closely with stakeholders to support their data initiatives.
Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Data Technical Specialist, you will:
Analyze and Gather Requirements: Work closely with business stakeholders to capture requirements and translate them into technical specifications.Data Mapping and Transformation: Develop and implement mappings between source and target systems, ensuring smooth and accurate data flow.Data Profiling and Lineage: Conduct in-depth profiling and lineage tracking to maintain robust data governance and integrity.Support Data Modeling: Collaborate with data modelers to develop logical and physical data models, leveraging your expertise in modeling concepts.Ensure Data Quality: Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve data quality issues, providing detailed root cause analysis.Governance Oversight: Actively contribute to data governance processes, ensuring alignment with organizational standards and compliance requirements.Stakeholder Collaboration: Facilitate discussions, workshops, and meetings to align on business needs and priorities.Essential Skills and ExperienceOur client is looking for a candidate with:
Strong expertise in Data Profiling, Data Lineage, Data Mapping, and Data Classification.Proven experience preparing Business Requirement Documents (BRDs) and mapping documents.A solid understanding of Data Transformation logic in a Data Lake environment.Knowledge of data modeling concepts, such as SCD Type 1 & 2 tables and various database models.Familiarity with data governance processes.Desired QualificationsWhile not mandatory, the following skills will set you apart:
